Main purpose of instruments type M.A.C 2040 is the measuring of gas concentrations in plants, workrooms and ambient air.

The instruments have a modular design. Retrofit installation of optional equipment is possible at any time. Exchange of modules in case of defects is easy. Instrument setup and functional control is done by authorized personnel using the built-in service-interface. This guarantees high security against unintentional modifications.

M.A.C 2040 instruments are equipped with between 1 and 3 gas sampling inlets. The valve multiplexer is built-in. Gas inlets may be controlled either automatically by the equipment software within independently set intervals or by an external control unit (machine or installation site). Active sample extraction is provided by a built-in diaphragm pump.

Display of measured concentration values is possible either in ppm or in g/m3. The mass concentration is standardized to adjustable standard temperature and air pressure. For standardization of concentration the actual air pressure is measured inside M.A.C 2040.

Depending on accuracy class and total measuring range of the instrument, up to 4 internal switched measuring ranges provice best accuracy of measurement over 3 to 4 decades.

Notice: Because of the new WEEE and RoHS-Directives, we gave up the production of the M.A.C 2040. Service is still available without restrictions.

The device M.A.C 2040 is displaced by M.A.C 2240.
