The company ppm measurement  technology was founded in the year 1997 as successor of WS&S.

 

WS&S developed in co-operation with Aritron Instruments AG / Switzerland and the company

Diehl foundation & Co. KG the first industrial gas monitors and led these to production stage.

Major task of the devices was the monitoring of the limit values of the

2nd Federal Ordinance for Emission Control, briefly 2nd BImSchV.

 

The monitors were the only ones in the FRG, wich could perform this task at that time.

 

Due to that fact, most devices for process control in drycleaning as well as metal degreasing plants,

using the solvents Perchloroethylene or Trichloroethylene, have been manufactured by

WS&S and/or ppm measurement technology.

 

The management of ppm measurement technology took over the technical manager of WS&S, Mr. Horst König.

 

Soon it was recognized that the instruments are not only suitable for monitoring

of gas concentrations in solvent processing enterprises.

The optoacoustic measurement principle offers the possibility to measure various

other gases precisely and reliably.

 

New fields of activity developed, in particular with refrigerator recycling enterprises.

Our instruments surely and reliably monitor the concentration limits of the harmful

gases liberated during shredding of the refrigerators. Mainly R11, R12 and Cyclopentane are monitored.

 

The open concept of the instruments makes it possible to customize them easily upon

customer's request and to measure a multitude of other substances selectively.

Thus the gas monitors appeal to customers worldwide

 

Devices for the reliable measurement of highly agressive compounds are under development at present.
